Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
The short version: This app does not collect anything about you. No exceptions.

What this app collects

Nothing. This app does not collect, store, log, or process any personal data. It has no knowledge of who you are, where you are, or that you visited.

Cookies and tracking

This app uses no cookies and no fingerprinting, session tracking, or behavioral analytics. For anonymous visit counting, this app uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first analytics tool that collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and cannot identify individual visitors. You can read their data policy at plausible.io/privacy.

Your API key

If you enter a USPTO API key, it is used solely to make a single API request on your behalf and discarded immediately after. It is never stored, never logged, never transmitted to any party other than the USPTO Open Data Portal, and never retained by the server in any form.

Third party services

This app retrieves publicly available data from two sources: USPTO Open Data Portal and CourtListener / RECAP Archive. Both are public legal data sources. No information is shared with them beyond what is necessary to fulfill your search request.

Data transfers

No personal data is collected, therefore no personal data is transferred.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
